No Notifications on macOS Desktop App
서준형
Hello ClickUp Team,
I'm experiencing an issue where I'm not receiving any notifications (sounds or banners) from the ClickUp desktop app on my Mac.
I have already checked and confirmed the following settings:
ClickUp's in-app notification settings are enabled.
My macOS System Settings have granted notification permissions to ClickUp.
Focus modes (Do Not Disturb) are turned off.
Despite these settings, no alerts appear for reminders or task notifications. Notifications are working correctly on my mobile device and the web app, but not on the desktop app, which is crucial for my workflow.
Could you please look into this issue?
Thank you.

No matter how many notifications I get through CU I am always seemingly missing them... I don't know how... Maybe because I get too many and end up ignoring the onslaught... I think one area that I would love to see improved upon, especially via the Mac and Mobile apps is the badge notifications that other apps have. I would love to simply set it up to show the badge and # of notifications only for new tasks assigned or comments on items. Is this already in there and I have it turned off or is it really not built into this yet? No app badge notifications?

I'm using the Mac desktop app and don't seem to be sending notifications to the "notifications" bar in Mac OS. What am I missing? To be clear - I'm getting the little notifications in-app, just not in the "Notifications" bar. Not getting banners or app icon dots either.

How can this still be an issue? We hate to use slack just because of that. Its a non starter for clickup.

I tried all the options. Logging out and closing. Restarting my computer. I gave as much access as I could in Clickup as well as on my Macbook's notifications. Any other ideas? Seems to be an issue many people are dealing with

I also have the same issue. Did anyone find a workaround?

Same here! I have the exact same issue. I have also tried installing the app again and restarting my macbook. Notifications only work on the browser and in my iphone.

Logging out and logging in again solved the issue!

I found a fix that worked for me. I logged out, quit the application, relaunched, and logged back in.

To whoever is having this issue in 2026 - the order of the above is important, and waiting 5min before logging back on worked. This seems a bit unstable for an app to be this finicky

This problem occurs also on my and my colleagues Click Up Apps. Please look into this. Thank you!
