Chat not syncing?

Chat is off to a really good start, but I'm finding it doesn't exactly work...how it should. Chats are not synced properly - members are reporting they don't get chats I sent until after they've sent a follow up chat. I get notifications but the UI doesn't refresh with the newest chat message until I click elsewhere then click back.
Using Desktop app on Macbook Pro & a fiber internet connection.
Should this be a bug report...?
