Chat threads are suprisingly less usable than task comment threads.
  1. We are unable to ADD followers to a Chat thread without sending a message with an @mention to them.
  2. We are unable to REMOVE followers from a Chat thread at all - this is very limiting!
It is also very strange because in the Task comments, it is possible to add (or remove) a follower to a comment thread by just clicking on the follower section to see the list of who is currently following and easily add or remove.
Since the Chat functionality seems to be using the same interface and possibly backend as the Task Comment section, I don't understand why we're not able to add/remove followers on a Chat thread either.
Please look into it! This makes chat very much less usable than task comments.
I posted first posted about this over a year ago here (https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/remove-followers-from-a-chat-in-clickup-chat) and there is still no movement or update.
