Support For Offline Meeting for Notetaker

This is a must for our workflow where we meet with lots of our clients in person to present them our products for sales.

It looks more of a mobile app feature request, right?
S
Shreyansh Jain
It can be for both Alex Lashkov. Ideally I would want it on both.
Mobile makes this more accessible but laptop makes it easier to process on the spot.
With our evolving workflows, I now want this for offline team meetings too.
Alex Lashkov
Shreyansh Jain so like you open a laptop and do a recording? You can actually do this kind of workflow now with clips - is this smth you might consider trying?
S
Shreyansh Jain
Thanks Alex Lashkov for the suggestion.
Last time I tried clips, it was unable to transcribe the meetings.
If it can do that with action items and accessibility to agents, multivoice detection to an extent and filter support of some kind to separate clips and meetings than it would suffice for my use case that is scalable with clips.
I'll try it soon if there are some changes now.

Alex Lashkov for opening laptop. Sometimes yes and we record the meeting by placing it in between the table. Sometimes an employee is asked to take real time notes of key details and action points and this person rotates every meeting. This is not scalable and not feasible in today's world.
And thus this request.
As for client's demonstration, we take notes on Paper ourselves. Very tedious and I want to change this.
Steve Cross
Alex Lashkov Yes. Fireflies.ai has this available in their platform. Its only on the mobile app. The best part is that it recognizes multiple voices. After the recording is processed, you can go in and assign a person/name to each voice.
Alex Lashkov
Steve Cross yeah that is a cool feature, we will discuss with the team how that potentially could be done. I cannot promise it will be in a nearest future though as we have to tackle bot deduplication project first!

Thanks a lot Steve Cross. This app seems to solve some of our problems.
This also shows that multiple voice recognition is possible.
I would prefer not to add another service in our tool stack though because of more context switching and cost burden.
Steve Cross
Shreyansh Jain yep, we're hoping CU adds this so we can move away from Fireflies.

I would suggest the title to be "On Demand Note Taker via Mobile or Computer in Room with Microphone.
Alex Lashkov
Vincent DAmico I am trying to understand how that might actually work. Like, you go to calendar via mobile, and then you activate notetaker? We do not have it on mobile yet :( But we there are works on the talk to text part that might somehow be used in this context, I believe.

Alex Lashkov Please let it be separate like clips or time tracking details are currently. The meetings we record can be connected to calendar events like we can connect time tracking details to existing tasks. They can also be found in their hubs.
We can also launch this on demand from Calendar events like we can add AI Note-Taker to online meetings. The interface from Calendar can be similar to how you plan your on demand online notetaker for consistency.
Alex Lashkov
Shreyansh Jain trying to understand this better. So, you have a calendar meetings offline. The employee opens a laptop, navigates to the ClickUp calendar, and launches notetaker that works just as a separate service now without connecting to Zoom or whatever. So the whole mechanism is the same, the only difference, that the bot does not live within a third-party app?
S
Shreyansh Jain
Alex Lashkov Yes. The bot can be your on own syncups or separate, whichever you prefer.
Actually in my mind the above method will support 2 workflows for us in addition to current online note-taker use case.
1st: We generally have Clickup's desktop app always opened on our laptops minimized. People are pre informed with invites to that meeting on Calendar.
When in that situation, an employee can directly launch the note-taker from there in both online or offline use case. If offline-one person can record it, process multiple sounds my mapping and share the doc to required people. The people can have a choice if they want to unlink or link more docs to an event (if they want to duplicate the original doc for their own personal processing or other XYZ reason).
2nd: Adhoc Meeting Use Case:
With a separate tab like Time Tracking or Clip, we can capture the meeting first and then it can be linked to relevant meeting later. If not linked then it can stay as a doc shared with people who attended. They can link to their calendar event or do whatever feels more productive to them.
Both of these use cases can also be used from mobile when some sales guy is in the field for product demos or if a potential customer visited our office and we don't want to make it awkward with an employee carrying our laptops recording our product demos.
Thus, both mobiles and laptops.
Mobile: Accessibility
Laptop: Organization and Further Processing
3rd use case in mind but won't use it currently: using external mics to record meetings in a bigger conference hall
OR
recording some seminars while I focusing on learning without any fear of missing anything. Laptops are important in those seminars for me.

Sorry if it wasnt clear. Alex Lashkov
If I could eliminate Krisp.AI and keep everything on Clickup i would like that.
I have alot of flexibility with this. There is a flashing note to remind people to tell people you are recording its running through your speakers how they have the transcription happening.
Alex Lashkov
Shreyansh Jain that can be in a place with no internet right? So it should record locally and then re-sync with cloud?
For mobile, our team does not own it, but in the future we can discuss how we can collaborate on that with the colleagues, sure.
Alex Lashkov
Vincent DAmico do you mostly attend planned meetings or ad-hoc can happen? Which is more important for you to have?
Also, if you could list Krisp's features that make you the most productive, that would be also cool! Thanks for the insights!
S
Shreyansh Jain
Alex Lashkov Yes. Offline is a must Alex on both Laptop and Mobile.
Thanks a lot. I hope to see this soon.
Alex Lashkov
Shreyansh Jain yeah, agree 100%. Just need to understand the best angle for us to tackle this. Will do some more research definitely!

Alex Lashkov adhoc because if its important i could turn it on any time. I will respond more to this when i get time.
Krisp has everything I need but sadly It forces you to have to use it. I would just want it to easily share to clickup. Would be my preffered method. But i'd rather improve Clickup AI Note Taker to be able to handle what Krisp can and does.
I would like it to work like Clickup Clips does. Without having to record screen.
Krisp integrates into alot of other tools. But since your making a competitive product im assuming you wont integrate. Which Is why Im trying to get you to see that having this feature might be a great thing for Clickup Note Taker.
