Allow Agents to Trigger and Act Directly on Docs (Not Just Tasks!)
planned
Daniela Aranaga
Currently, ClickUp Agents can only be triggered by actions on tasks or chats, not directly by actions on Docs. We need the ability for Agents to trigger and perform actions (such as duplicating, moving, or tagging) when a Doc is created, updated, or tagged—without requiring a linked task. This would enable workflows like automatically filing AI Notetaker meeting notes in the correct Doc location based on tags or content, without manual task creation.
This feature would greatly improve automation and organization for teams using Docs as primary records.

Being able to trigger automations (internal and webhooks) when AI Note Taker generates a Meeting Summary

Ability to select a template/prompt to run to summarize the output
Hans
The output is now hardcoded and you cannot influence this output. Most AI Notetakers offer a template/prompt which you can create yourself and can be used depending on the meeting. Sometimes it's a 15 minute standup with just 10 bulletpoints, sometimes it's a HR interview which require a different summary (ie: How many questions did the person ask).

Add automation trigger when transcripts are ready

In order to be able to further process and share the meeting notes with external participants, we need a trigger.
However, this is possible in fireflies and other tools.

I need to be able to set triggers for meetings to automate actions. Example: When {project} is mentioned, add action steps to list}

Regenerate with Custom Prompt
M
Murtadha Altarouti
Currently, ClickUp AI Notetaker generates meeting notes in a single pass with no ability to refine, customize, or correct the output after generation. This creates significant inefficiencies when:
- The AI misinterprets context or generates content in the wrong language
- Key sections need more detail or different emphasis
- Specific sections contain errors that require complete manual rewriting
- Teams need the same meeting notes adapted for different audiences or languages
We must either accept suboptimal notes or spend considerable time manually editing, defeating the purpose of AI automation.
Implementing a "Regenerate with Custom Prompt" feature that allows users to iteratively refine AI-generated notes through natural language instructions by adding a button (magic wand icon) at both the document level and individual section level, would solve 99% of my problems and save a lot time

Templates for AI Notetaker
Tobias Giesen
We miss a feature to customize the output of the Notetaker summary.
E.g. our Sales Team needs a summary with all problems, solutions, doubts, etc. while our PMs need a Template with Next Steps, Timeline Comments, Critical comments, etc.
There a many use cases to setup a template for AI Notes.

This is highly needed. Right now super agents cannot do what we need them to do after a meeting. Highly limiting!
Alex Lashkov
Steven Werley hey! We are planning to work on this soon. The idea is to add agents an option to access meeting notes context first, then automate post-meeting workflows
Saskia Mardi
This would be ideal - currently I have a workaround in place which takes the ClickUp notetaker AI doc, and then changes it based on a prompt set up in Brain. It would be great it this could be integrated.
Alex Lashkov
Tobias Giesen So, am I correct, that your team would need some pre-defined templates that could be applied to upcoming meetings or past meetings notes?
Tobias Giesen
Alex Lashkov Yess, that's right!
Alex Lashkov
Tobias Giesen: sounds good! Can we hop on call next week to talk through those things in greater detail?
