Alex Lashkov and Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) - I'm trying to make this work with Teams by having AI join a call (that only I join) to record the in-person meeting and get the notes/action items. It's lame, and I forget to launch Teams sometimes, but when it works, it's awesome, very helpful, and it proves the value of getting this feature request done.

Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) - Are you looking for additional use cases for in-person note taker?
If so, please consider integrating with third party hardware like Plaud, or bluetooth mic pairing so your phone does not need to be moved around for in-person meetings. This should not replace the functionality requested here, just give additional options.

Ron Stinson II Can you please describe the use-case more? Not sure how this should work and what we pair with. Let's say ClickUp just runs on your Desktop computer and you launch a notetaker on it during a meeting, what else needs to happen here?

Alex Lashkov - The issue with limiting the feature to my laptop is it's not always at the "right" place to record the audio. This is true with the phone. Today I had an impromptu meeting with the CEO during a client visit, I didn't have my laptop and pulling my phone out to start recording would be awkward.
If I pair remote mic that I wear on my lapel or pocket, the audio would just be captured. As for Plaud, it is a mic 'pin' with AI enabled transcription. See plaud.ai for more product information.

Ron Stinson II: yeah, that is very interesting. We will think what we can do here, but to be transparent - we do not have the Notetaker on mobile right now, so it should be a whole new product for us. But the direction I like a lot!

ClickUp AI Note Taker Enhancement Request
I'm a huge fan of ClickUp summaries, ClickUp capture, and the entire ClickUp ecosystem. However, the AI Note Taker is the one feature that hasn't met my needs.
Current Challenge:
The AI Note Taker needs to function more like a computer system integration such as Krisp. While I'd love to use Krisp for this purpose, I can't since it's not integrated with ClickUp. What I really need is a direct integration that allows me to attach notes and thoughts to specific tasks while I'm actively working on them.
Why This Matters:
Currently, I don't end up using my notes effectively because I never have time to check third-party apps. However, if notes were directly attached to tasks or project details, I could easily reflect back on them using Brain Max or other ClickUp features. This would be a complete game changer for my workflow.
Specific Request:
I want to use the ClickUp Note Taker, but the current bot-based system that requires scheduling doesn't work for my needs. Instead, it should function like the Krisp app with on-demand recording capabilities. My primary need is transcription only I don't want to store full conversations, just the transcribed text for easy reference and task attachment.
Bottom Line:
An on-demand transcription feature that integrates directly with ClickUp tasks would significantly improve my productivity and make the AI Note Taker actually useful for my workflow.

Vincent DAmico those things like working and doing notes are happening on the web or on desktop? That is pretty important to understand.
Also, have you tried the Brain Max app?

I want to be able to record in person meetings. Ideally also phone calls (also fine if I can just upload recordings, most phone call providers have a recording function by now).
Ideally I can tell ClickUp AI who is participating. Outcome should be the same as in a normal recording.
I would also want to use this to make notes to myself (e.g. talk about different tasks, that AI then updates).
