Too Many Clicks in ClickUp 3.0 | Task view and Inbox
Hello, this last couple updates to the Notifications and now Task creation is absolutely horrendous. Why would you increase the number of clicks one needs to do for mundane tasks? Right now when I want to create a task I need to click Create task, then the 3 dots, then custom fields and only after that am I able to fill the custom fields. What logical reason would make you do this? Moreover, when the last Notification / Inbox update is even worse. I need to open the Notification, then click Details, then Expand and only then am I in the task view. Please for the love of god and everything thats holy stop adding unnecessary clicks for things that do NOT NEED them. Thank you.
Show Parent Task Names on Notifications for Subtasks
The new inbox doesn't show the parent task name on the main view (important/other) when a notification is for a subtask. (Old notifications did.) You can get to it by clicking into the notification, but it would be preferred to have that at-a-glance insight. We often put the client name on the parent task and don't put it on the subtasks to avoid redundancy. (Also because of template limitations.) So a person can be assigned several tasks named the same thing. It would be really nice to be able to see parent task name in the main view.
Switch from tabs for Details, Subtasks, Action Items back to scrolling
I would like to be able to just scroll in task view to see the subtasks and checklist items, like I used to be able to in 2.0. Now I have to click on Subtasks or Action Items to see what's in those areas.
Add more options to customise Home 3.0
Add support for resizing cards, rearranging their position and more card options.
Do not put unimportant notifications as the preview per row in Inbox
At the moment, when a task's status is changed, any other activities that happened in close proximity (like a comment) end up being nested under the status change notification in the inbox. This has caused my team and I to miss numerous important updates as it's not intuitive that we need to open a status change notice for other important updates. The ONLY reason we have caught some important comments on such tasks is because we receive email notifications about comments where we are watchers or where we are tagged. After checking with the support team, it's been confirmed this is an intended behaviour. If there is not other associated activity with the status change - the notification is logged under 'Other' in the inbox. If there IS additional important activity that happens at the time of this status change - the notification is logged under 'Important' - however, those additional actions/activity are nested under the status change notice and can only be seen if you click into the status change notification. This is not intuitive for users AND requires additional clicks to check and see if there were potentially other important actions that happened at the time the status was changed. PLEASE reconsider this intentional behaviour - it does not seem supportive of helping users ensure they see all important updates. For consistency - why not keep status changes under the 'Others' tab in the inbox regardless of what other activities happen at the same time and surface activities like comments normally in the 'Important' tab like you when they aren't connected to a status change.
Let the "Overview" be an optional component in a Folder
With the 3.0 release, we got the "Overview" view in folder that is apparently required. This means, after entering a folder, you need to make additional click into your list, because it's second in a row, overview being the first. The overview cannot be dragged anywhere, neither turned off. Pinning other views doesn't help either. Please, make this "overview" view optional. I don't need it at all, and this only makes me click even more to get where I need. Thank you.
Better UI for removing tasks from LineUp 3.0 card
Just sharing my two cents. I could not discover how to remove tasks from LineUp 3.0, although it was plenty easy to add tasks to the lineup. After attempting to drag the tasks outside of the box to remove, trying to find a remove button, and more trial and research, I found the green checkmark button is used to remove tasks from LineUp, without marking the tasks completed. But --- it is the same green checkmark interface that is used to mark tasks complete or update the status. I think the 3.0 UI choice for removing from LineUp is not intuitive and leaves users like me are confused. The earlier 2.0 "x" button made sense.
Regression - 3.0 cant display more than 2 tags in a list
Clickup 2.0 has 3 tags displayed. Clickup has gone backwards on 3.0 to only permit 2 tags! We need more.... not less. Dfinite regression issue.
Allow me to choose what shows in Important on Inbox
Now that the Inbox is in BETA and I used it a little bit, I have one piece of feedback/question. Will there be an option to specify what we want to go to the "other" inbox, as opposed to the "important" inbox. I didn't see anything for it in settings, and my workflow involves keeping an eye on some things that it was automatically marking "other". Some things I want to send to other, of course, but it would be nice to be able to customize those settings.
