is this a feature yet? I want MAKE.COM to be able to create a list from a template within an existing space and folder.

Same same, in need for an API to create new lists from templates.

missing the same functionality - need to create tasks from template and modify their names & custom fields using API.

Templates are useless, because MANUALLY it CANNOT be done, and it is impossible to do via API

hmm... as a newbie to clickup and make.com automation (as of the date of my writing) I do see clickup module in make.com to "List Task Templates" and "Create a Task from a Template" -- which is great.

However, I can't (neither in make.com or inside clickup automations) apply template to a folder (or space)

Now, I admit I don't know enough to debate about the intricacies of API; however if ClickUp was able to produce the module for "task from template" for make.com perhaps this is not as daunting to do it for folders (?) - whatever the route, I think we all will be happy if we can apply template to folders and spaces -- thanks! yep, it can be achieved more "manuallY" but we already have templates on one side

API's are for integrations. The inability to create a list via the API using a template is absolutely necessary. Please make this a priority! Ideally I should be able to make a call to the API passing the template list id and it will duplicate that list and all tasks EXACTLY as they are with all custom fields etc, etc. Having to build the list and tasks manually is insane!

I have created Zoho CRM functions to create a list and tasks. If you set the space to use a view template then any new list created via the api will inherit the view template grouping, columns etc. If anybody would like to know more, reply to this.

While completely understanding all of your complaints and frustration, one has to accept there is a rationale behind the lack of an open API for creating items (except tasks) from a template. This action can take considerable time to finish (think of a template with hunderts of lists and tasks). For this it is not the ideal candidate for an API. Having said that, engage with a technical services consultant and he/she will find a solution for it.

This was requested in 2022? It's 2024 already and not even on the roadmap? I'm struggling to see why there's no interest in providing this feature. It seems like a no brainer.

Yep - makes no sense that this is available through Zapier and no where else. Who wants to create a task based on a template? I need to create a LIST!
