We'd like the public API to be able to add and remove a Doc or Page as a Relationship on a task, the same way you can in the app.
Right now the API can only link a task to another task (Add Task Link and Add Dependency). The Add Task Link docs say links to other objects are not supported, and Get Task says Docs attached to a task are not returned. So a tool that creates tasks for us can't attach the related Doc, and someone has to add it by hand on every task.
What would help:
- An endpoint to add or remove a Doc or Page as a Relationship on a task.
- Linked Docs and Pages included in the Get Task response, so tools can see what is already linked.
We create a lot of tasks through the API and an AI assistant, and linking our team's reference Docs is the one step it can't do for us.
The "Relationships" category in your screenshot works. ClickUp also has a separate public API feedback board, where a similar request was answered and closed for task-to-task links only. If the category dropdown has a "Public API" option, that's the better fit.

It's not possible to create a doc in the task / link it to a task with the API but in the GUI it's possible.. please add support
