Enable SyncUp Calls to Work in the Background on Mobile

I use ClickUp’s SyncUp on a daily basis, but there is one inconvenience when using it on mobile.
Specifically, when I put the app in the background to operate other apps (such as a notes app, browser, or Slack), my own voice stops transmitting to the other participants. However, I can still hear their voices without any issue.
For example, when I’m in a SyncUp meeting, I often want to check reference materials in my browser or take notes in another app at the same time. Unfortunately, with the current limitation, my voice cannot be heard by others, which makes this workflow impossible.
Other call apps (such as Zoom or Google Meet) allow smooth voice transmission even when the app is running in the background on mobile devices. If SyncUp could support the same capability, it would greatly increase its usability.
Especially because SyncUp’s audio quality is superior compared to other call apps, enabling background audio on mobile would significantly improve work efficiency and encourage me to use SyncUp even more often.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the overall excellence of ClickUp’s services. From task management to documents and calls, you provide a consistently high-quality experience, and I am deeply grateful to the development team for their dedication and effort.

Enable microphone usage in the background during mobile SyncUp while viewing other apps

I regularly use ClickUp’s mobile SyncUp feature and truly value the ability to communicate with my team via voice while working on the go.
Currently, when I am in a SyncUp call and switch to another app, the ClickUp app goes into the background and my microphone stops working during that time. When I return to the ClickUp app, the microphone works again without any issues, so the problem only occurs while the app is in the background.
For example, during a SyncUp call, I often need to:
- Check schedules in a calendar app
- Open shared links in Slack
- Review documents, tasks, or notes in other apps
While doing this, my audio is not transmitted to other participants until I return to the ClickUp app. From their perspective, it appears as if I suddenly stopped speaking, which can cause confusion and disrupt real work conversations.
Ideally, I would love for the microphone to remain usable in the background while viewing other apps during a SyncUp session. At the very least, a clear indicator or notification that the microphone is inactive while in the background would help prevent misunderstandings.
ClickUp is an excellent service that successfully brings task management and team communication together in one platform. SyncUp has greatly improved my daily workflow, and I sincerely appreciate the continuous efforts of the development team. Thank you for building such a fantastic product, and I look forward to seeing ClickUp continue to evolve.
