Enable conversations to happen in Slack OR Clickup by syncing comments with threads!

Once a clickup "Task Created" message appears in Slack, thread replies should automatically attach comments to the task in clickup, and vice versa, comments on tasks in clickup should be posted as replies in the same thread.

To help us better understand and build the right solution, could you share your thoughts on:

User vs. Bot Posting:

Would you prefer comments synced between Slack and ClickUp to appear as posted by the original user, or is it acceptable if they appear as posted by a “bot” user?

Linking Slack Threads to ClickUp Tasks:

How would you ideally like to link a Slack message or thread to a ClickUp task? Would a manual action (e.g., selecting “Link to Task” within Slack) work, or are you looking for something more automated?

Notifications and Control:

Would you expect to manually control which Slack threads get synced to ClickUp, or should this syncing happen automatically for all threads associated with tasks?

Ideally, show the name, but that may require synching user accounts across ClickUp and Slack? Bit may be okay.
Manual is fine. Note that current ClickUp comments to slack could be more “person” like, less info. This may be a slack problem.
Think it needs to be manual, or if some AI suggests a connection, approved by user.

Note we are finding it useful to browse slack to see all the ClickUp activity, but it gets a bit noisy.

Thanks for doing the work. I'd expect/want something like:

Bot is fine, but the message should show the user's name.
Option to manually link a Slack thread to a ClickUp item - this is tricky, but it should ideally work at all levels or at least list, task, and subtask. This matters because everyone' design is so different given their unique needs. Manually being able to say: the conversation on this item = this slack channel is key.

Would be nice if I could select at that item level what to sync to that linked Slack channel. For some items, we'd want to see status changes and/or owner changes and/or and/or due date changes, and or custom field changes (like health) in Slack as well. The value of this sync isn't so much to be able to converse in either system, but to allow collaboration between systems. So to be able to say: link X ClickUp item to Y Slack channel and sync xyz items between them would be ideal.
