Guy Mannerings
Zach - ClickUp: Hey Zach, nice work. Is it still on your radar to have the ability to resize vertically or horizontally only?
pixojoy
Zach - ClickUp: Hooray this is a huge step forward!
Zach - ClickUp
Guy Mannerings: So, yes we have an internal task for this, but truthfully there are many other things above that in priority now. I'd like to get it built, but can't say when it will be (if there's a huge swell of votes for it, then we can re-evaluate the roadmap!)
Guy Mannerings
Zach - ClickUp: No problem! Glad it's somewhere on the roadmap :-) .

Sorry for all the whiplash - We're back at it!

Pavel Pronin
Zach - ClickUp: Please consider to resize it not only with fixed 1:1 dimensions, but also change its shape to 1:2 dimension.
Guy Mannerings
Pavel Pronin: Zach - ClickUp Yes, I agree with Pavel. Although 1:1 helps, I really want to be able to make them wider without making them longer, e.g., when there is a lot of text inside. Or, indeed, longer without making them wider if that is needed.

Thanks for the suggestions you two. We'll consider that for the next iteration. Changes coming to your Workspace next week hopefully!

under review
Updating this post to Under Review for now.
We're trying to do a better job of keeping the statuses on feature requests up-to-date so you can more realistically know what ClickUp is working on.
I'll let you all know if we have more questions, but please feel free to add any additional context to this post that you think I should be aware of.
The more I can understand how critical this is for your use case, the better!
Thank you 🙇♂️

Zach - ClickUp: Thanks Zach.
For me, I use sticky notes in a traditional fashion - writing on them (or typing on them), and then moving them around like on a corkboard/whiteboard.
The fact this replicates a traditional sticky note + corkboard/whiteboard set up, rather than a digital-looking box that you type in, is oddly useful for me with creative thinking.
I find digital-looking elements, like square shapes that you then type in, to not connect as well with my brain and not make me feel creative.
Whereas the free-flowing feeling of a notecard that yo write on just feels more creative.
I would love to eventually have Whiteboards work with Wacom pen + ability to resize sticky notes so I can replicate this set-up fully - by hand writing via digital pen on to a sticky note and then moving that note around.
Right now, sticky notes are a little small for that, and sometimes not quite the right shape for some elements I write down. So I have to type in to them (although they can still get a bit too long as I need them a bit wider sometimes).
With your recent update of vector-based draw lines, this hope doesn't seem far off!
Hope that makes sense and helps.
PS Another really cool thing would be that if you use "draw" to write on a sticky card, it automatically groups them. That way, you don't have to do this manually (which, of course, is not the end of the world).

Guy Mannerings: Thank you Guy, appreciate the insights!

planned
Moving back to planned to be transparent about where this is at. We have done work on it, but we've put it on hold until some bigger projects can get completed.
Zach - ClickUp
Thanks for your patience everyone! We got a bit sidetracked working on performance and usability fixes. We will get back to this one though.

Oh no, disappointing that I've searched for this and it's still outstanding after a year :(.

Any ETA on this? Notes are not really user friendly without resize features..
Rob Sobey
Love to resize notes.
