View all files for lists, spaces, and teams
planned
Adam Ennis
As refugees from Basecamp 2, one feature that I've not seen in action in ClickUp that we'll miss is the ability to see all files for a given project in one place—and, indeed, all files across all projects
I believe a good place to initiate this view would be would be a 4th view button to the right of BOARD. (Please excuse the crudity of this model.)
Files for a given list, space, team would be viewable depending on what level a user is situated.
Being able to click on these files and go to the discussion(s) in which they're attached would also be fantastic.
Indeed, using search or looking for the attachment icon on tasks is simple enough, but viewing all the "things" and starting there is a really powerful way to get users to get their bearings, especially if you're coming into a project that's been going on for awhile.
Hopefully, this isn't a duplicate request. I'll take my answer off the air.

Hey @Mathias Heidemann! and all ClickUppers!
Due to our current focus on speed and performance, our ETA for this feature has changed a bit.
We still will release this for sure, but we are delaying certain features a bit in order to spend more time and resources on performance.
Thank you for your patience!

the file view should contain all the files from all docs as well

Here's me thinking file management was deliberately restrictive to stop people exploiting the unlimited storage plans.
Hence, I had no expectations for a fully fledged file manger, but a place to see all your attachments together would be awesome!

How come that the best app out there has no file manager?
Even facebook/messenger has the list of attachment/files in a conversation :-)
Please, please, please do something about it as it is one of the basic function I need.

Please add the ability to see all images documents and files in one location.

For such a cutting edge up, I was surprised to find that I could not retrieve all of my files in one location or even the option for all files on a single list. What I like about click up, is that you don’t have tasks embedded into each other. The information is easy to find and the sub tasks and other info is easy to find (and see) as well. If we have an option where we can grab the files/images/documents whether it be all of them in the entire workspace or even if we have the option of finding all of the attachments in one list it would be a game changer!
I misunderstood when I first started click up that the docs page was your document and not the ability to find all my documents or else I would not have signed up. I think if you change this feature you’ll open up to more users.

Easier way to see all attachments at once

I know you want people to upgrade when they max out their space, but we are unable to afford it and would like an easier way to see and clean up old attachments. Right now it's a very tedious process of selecting "Everything" then "Show Closed" and scrolling through visually to see which have attachments or not. It's annoying.

Yes. Often I attach files to tasks and sub-tasks, but then have no idea where I put them.
I would like an area to see all my files (at a Space, Folder and List level).
This file explorer can then show which task, etc, those files are attached to.
I would also like it to show files for closed tasks.
