Comments should always be sorted most recent at the bottom
Sienna Kimball
Why are inbox comments sorted most recent at the top, but all other comments are sorted most recent at the bottom? It's frustratingly disorienting and confusing. Plus, I've never seen most recent comments sorted top to bottom. It's a UX nightmare.

The destination after clicking on a notification from the inbox is in reverse order
Phil Larsen
When viewing the Inbox, the order is newest to oldest, from top to bottom. This makes sense. (Screenshot 1-Inbox.png)
After clicking on a notification, it opens a view that shows all activity of the task in the same order, newest-to-oldest, top-to-bottom. This is where the confusion occurs. On top of this, if you open a thread in this view, the order of those messages is actually oldest-to-newest, from top to bottom. (Screenshot 2-Notification Details.png)
When viewing a task in the dialog, the order of the activity is oldest-to-newest, from top to bottom. This makes sense. (Screenshot 3-Task Activity Panel.png)
I always have to click through, past the intermediate screen to get to the task because it is easier than shifting the order in my head that the activity on the task is being displayed. To highlight, the order on the Inbox screen itself is fine. It is specifically that intermediate page that throws me off.

inbox comments on a specific task (& expand previous replies) in chronological order
Andrew Sutton
I'd love for inbox comments on a specific task to be in chronological order.
I'd also like for the "expand previous replies" to be after the comment instead of before the comment, since those replies were made later in time as well.
Here is a short video showing what I mean: https://sharing.clickup.com/clip/p/t2373127/5443c3b0-10f7-4241-9529-86ee811a7fd5/inbox%20comments%20in%20chronological%20order.webm.webm

inbox message chronology is partly backwards
Marcus Carstens
The order in which messages appear in the inbox is sort of partly backward.
When I'm reviewing all updates, I want to read from oldest to newest, and it would be great for that to be the way they show up from top to bottom.
Also, the fact that message chronology in a thread is oldest>newest from top to bottom, but the chronology of individual messages is oldest>newest from bottom to top is very confusing.

Inbox Comment/Threaded Comment Sort Order
Joren Rapini
When looking at important notifications in inbox, regular comments are sorted one way chronologically and threaded comments are sorted another way. This makes it less intuitive when reading through your inbox because you constantly have to check the comment times to make sure you're reading them in the correct order.

The flow of comments

Not a new feature, but I would like the comments section to flow in chronological order with the most recent comment being on the bottom. Currently they have the most recent comment at the top and the replies to it below it. It makes it quite confusing.

Comment feed order in inbox view is hard to follow, feels out of order
Jake Fergerstrom
It is terribly confusing that a reply to another comment via the Inbox shows up below the comment you are replying to and therefore the most recent comment on the feed appears between two older contributions in the feed, instead of at the top or the bottom. The only obvious deliniator is the thin gray box surrounding the comment and the comment replies. Make it more obvious that the reader is looking at a reply to a comment instead of a general comment with an elbow arrow, indent, or similar clear visual indicator. If you're context switching, this is really tough to follow today.
Thanks for your consideration.
Phil Larsen
This behavior is increasingly obnoxious. I'd rather not have that intermediate step when checking notifications.
