My coworker and I were discussing how it would be super helpful if you could change the colour of "cards" or "tasks" according to lists. Right now you can assign a colour to a list, but it doesn't do much beyond that. If you could make it so while viewing a whole project each task had a colour according to its list, it would make it much easier to track progress. Whether the whole background changed colour, or you made the borders of the tasks change colour, it would be a super useful feature. This is specifically related to board view, but could potentially be applied to box or list as well.

Hello, it would help immensely if a task card in the board view could have a color based on different things e.g. status or they could copy the color from their original list

Give us option to add/edit text color, size etc. or task row background color in list view.
Similar to Excel or MS Project

A current workaround I've come up with is to do the following:
- Create a Custom Field(CF) named,Calendar Color.
- Add that CF into your Everythingview.
- In Calendar View Settings > Color tasks by, set it as that new Calendar Color CF.
This way, the CF is available across the entire Workspace. Handy for creating new tasks and the CF is already there to select your Calendar Color.
Attached is a preview of my weekly calendar view with the custom Calendar Color CF applied to my scheduled tasks.

Great idea! I've also noticed that there doesn't appear to be a way to color tasks, or at least not so that they show as colored cards or boxes in any view (such as Calendar view).
This is something I was hoping to be able to keep when moving from Asana to ClickUp, and I'm kinda disappointed that this rather basic feature isn't already available in ClickUp given how long the platform has been around.
That said, I've upvoted this, and I hope it will be something they consider doing in the not-too-distant future, as it helps immensely with visual task management. 👍

Carol Miller: Hola muy buenos dias!! hace poco tuve la oportunidad de cambiar la visualización de mis tareas por tipo! Es decir, asigné un campo personalizado (reuniones, asignado por, recurrencias) cada campo tenia un color y luego puse la visualización de las tareas por campo personalizado y me mostró los mismos colores. Quizá eso te pueda funcionar para resolver.
