In my opinion a Pulse should avoid daily meetings. So having the possibility to ask an automatic question to everyone at the beginning of their day, "what will you be focusing on today?" or at the end of the day or such, just like basecamp does or Geekbot in Slack does. This is a very useful feature for international and remote teams.

I think the concept of Pulse is great, but for our company we'd need it to be based on our time logging rather than what we have open. In many cases we might start our timing and then spend hours on that task but without having the task physically open. Likewise, if we open a link task for reference, we are still actively working on the task we are timing to - not the linked task we are referencing.
I can see how other companies would benefit from the existing model - especially if they aren't using ClickUp time logging. Maybe it would be cool if it was a setting on the Pulse ClickApp to choose the basis for the calculations.
Our biggest need is to see a list of all staff that are currently timing and what they are timing to. Having the ability to have a filter on a list or table view for "currently being timed to" would likewise meet our needs.
Also, maybe it would be better to make all the pieces of Pulse as dashboard widgets, then we could use only the bits we need and can intermingle and configure them through our dashboards.

@Asher Treby: this is so true! Perhaps with the big AI push team ClickUp could incorporate a mash up if tracked time & the current method to give an even smarter idea of true activity in a team

@R C: We ended up writing our own webpage that hits the ClickUp API to find what everyone is currently timing to. Then we display the page in ClickUp in an embed view. But having pulse etc use timing info would be way cooler.

Maybe Pulse can show usual available times. E.g., John Smith (typically in 8am-5pm, M-F). This can be only for admin if sensitive.

@Kathryn: Great idea! Would closing the browser also count? I rarely fully log in/out.
