iOS and Android Improvements

Has anyone notice how poor the UI/UX design is for iOS and Android? It really needs an overhaul.
It's simple things.... like why is the "x" to close the task so small? Even the desktop design has a nice sized "x"... I know you want all the power and features on mobile but some things just have to be simple/bigger. Think touch base design. It's not hard. Desktop features seem to be the main focus in this forum. The mobile experience needs to be better. I hope others agree and UPVOTE

Liad Solenko: For those looking, here is the APK link shared in the official ClickUp Facebook group, as Google have not approved it yet. - https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Ft333.s.clickup-attachments.com%2Ft333%2F322fa182-9776-4c48-9252-4bcd3d0e49d4%2Fapp-release.apk%3Fview%3Dopen%26fbclid%3DIwAR2clq24fppcGY5s8WpzZmvKV4iK49IiztkFsATenWEFjx2kmmaqO_61A4g&h=AT2XTbOyt6zcB_dx1ivqwfWeEzAjDogtc_jWo39MQwYbZIAH00K0L80rY4wfrlFgoL24ESldKS-9xmT6LwYjjOBqMp6X3NwY6BrmPlOTciaTAygQhauOec0D1ndjzmU70w&__tn__=R

Guy Mannerings: thanks mate.

Guy Mannerings: so that was super sketchy downloading ClickUp's app from a Facebook post...but the app is sooooo fast and good!
Guy Mannerings
Jarred Baird: Yup! I had the same sketchy feeling when I downloaded it! Ha. But definitely worth it, as it's so much better than the previous version.
It just took me a while to find it in the comments, so thought others might find the direct link helpful. I don't use Facebook much, so not sure if there is a way to link to the actual comment that provided the APK instead of the file itself. Oh well, hopefully Google will approve it soon so the direct link isn't needed!

Liad Solenko: Our app is officially live in the Google Play Store!

Can someone share the screenshots or the video link for the new upcoming apps (the one shared during the level up event) During the event the streaming quality was poor and we could not read the screen properly.

To be honest, it is not about improvements... it is about a complete native rebuild which is purportedly ongoing. The original app for ClickUp (though with less functionality) was superior to the one of today. I really hope native is native and it works well. Fast and low resource usage is critical!

I would like to learn from your mistakes. On your "jobs" site you are searching for flutter developers. Can you tell me which framework did you use for v2 mobile apps?
UenX
Nikola Kalakovic:
I think yes, they did use Flutter

Jorge E. Jaramillo A.: I wish we get an answer on that ASAP, I have many clients wanting to leave Clickup and I beg them to wait a bit more.....

Akiva Breuer: Would love the system should work better & faster

Jorge E. Jaramillo A.: maybe you get your answer December 9 at the keynote. 😜

Stefanos Gioumoukis: I hope so since the wait has been long and there are no clear answers
Stefanos Gioumoukis
Jorge E. Jaramillo A.: just a few hours… ;-)

The iOS app on iPad is outright unusable. At times it feels like it's not even ClickUp what I'm using. It's SO BAD. That in an attempt to make it work for me I logged in through Safari, hoping it would be better, but oh surprise: You can't use any of the drag...
I see some people in this thread beating around the bush about these apps, but let me say it bluntly:
The iOS app is trash, a half-assed attempt using a webview executed in such a way that it makes it clear Mobile is not a priority. And it shows, not only in the terrible quality of the application but also on the ratings left by the unlucky users who downloaded it hoping to get work done with their mobile devices.
Jan Dvořák
Mario Ricalde: Everyone at Clickup knows that - and it will change. Actually, it is being changed, a native app is in development and you can see the progress in the changelog. https://dev-doc.clickup.com/p/ad-3021/%F0%9F%9A%80-click-up-roadmap/ad-3105/release-notes. The only reason why the current app exists and will continue to exist is - there will not be feature parity on the release (probably) and when that milestone is reached, the current app will die.

The mobile app in general needs a revamp to better reflect the amazing functionality and capabilities that clickup offers in the desktop version. Especially considering that my team and I are using clickup while we're on the go on jobs, etc and can't access our laptops at all times. Thank you

The UI/UX for the iOS app is simply unusable for me. It takes me more time figuring out where to tap (i.e. in a task the terms Overview, Details, and Activity buttons/tabs at the bottom are not used in the web app -- inconsistent platform UX). Took me a few moments to realise my subtasks are actually listed in Details. After figuring out how to navigate, every screen load takes another few seconds to show.
Personally, the iOS app is not usable for me. I had switched to using the web app even on my iPad Pro.

The iOS app needs a lot of improvement, but the major problem is the missing timeline view. It would be the best view to see all tasks chronologically on a smaller screen size like ipad or even iphone.
I found the gantt view not so effective on this type of screens.. So I’ll glad to see the timeline view at the mobile app soon☺️
