Feature to open multiple tasks on top of an opened task
not on the roadmap

It would be good to be able to open a task or multiple tasks on top of an opened task by quickly typing or selecting from the list.
This is to act on other tasks while working on an opened task. This need arises when we remember something important about another task while working on an opened task.

I would like to see that you can open 2 tasks in Clickup, so that you can access information from another task without closing the current task.

Ankit are you just looking at side by side mode? As Chaim mentioned quick solution right now is to use the browser since this ability is something that already comes with browsers.

Ivan Villa: Using tabs in a browser is not what I meant.
Let's say you are working on a task, there are instances where you need to open another task without closing the current task that you are working on. At present, if I remember something needs to be done on the other task without closing the one that is open, I wouldn't be able to do that.
This needs search (shortcut key 's') needs to work on top of the open task. Then I can search for my desired task, open it on top of the current open task without closing it.

Ankit Agrawal: Understand tabs wasn't the exact ask, I was just trying to see if we could come up with an alternative for now. For example the ability to pop open the search with CMD+K would allow you to search another task. and this button would open the other task without closing the task you current have open.

Ivan Villa: Thanks, Ivan for pointing out Ctrl + K shortcut to open search on top of the working task view. That solves the problem partly.
But there is a need to open the task on top of the working task without closing the earlier opened tabs not on a separate browser tab.
If the above is available, we can open some tabs on top of working tasks and close them by using "esc" key. This will help in flexing our mind over various tasks while working on one.

You can use a few tabs in your browser.
