Any updates on it? we are working on a construction company with a lot of projects and it would be very helpful to have the subtasks with the same custom fields info from main task, like contact info, address, phone number and so on

I would like an automation to make a subtask inherit the tag from its parent task.

This is very important, especially with now with email. Please give us a timeline for this feature.

+1 at lest as an automation process "setcusom field FOR SUBTASKS"
Automation should be possible to apply to all Spaces. Would be great

I like the idea of allowing automations to push custom fields to subtasks where needed. If that's too difficult then some other way to force subtasks to update when Parent task custom fields are updated is needed. It's causing us a lot of extra work to have to manually update when we add new tasks (and sometimes forget)

100%. And we should be able to choose which custom fields get automatically applied.
I use custom fields to label tasks as Goals. But I need all the subtasks to also be labelled as that same goal, otherwise they don't show in certain views (like Timeline).

Copy task cusom fields into subtask custom fields

I am aware there's already a very similar suggested post called "Let subtasks iherit all custom fields of parent tasks", and while the results are the same, I'm just suggesting it as an automation, rather than an actual feature.
Suppose I have a task called "Social post" that's split into subtasks for each company member that interacts with it, so "headline", "writing", "art", "revision", etc. Each of these interactions has an appropriate custom field, but only the _subtasks_ should show up at the members' dashboards. It would be nice to have an automation that made it so that everything that's added to a parent task's custom field is automatically copied into every single subtask's custom field (since custom fields are always the same).
