In conjunction with shortcut keys, I'd like to use navigation keys and other hotkeys to expand, create, edit title, edit description, change status, etc... Think of it like gmail shortcut keys.
Context:
The goal here is really an overall faster interface, and even if the app performed each action without any loading or lag, it'd still only come second to a simple notepad in terms of speed.
I love how well-organized the product is, I just wish i could actually use it (faster).

Zeb, I don't think this is worthy of its own post, so I'm adding it as a comment here. On the web ui, windows, chrome. When using the shortcut key "T" to create a new task (unless I missed something), there is no way to cancel the new task, other than clicking the X with the mouse (i.e. leaving the keyboard). Would be nice if the "ESC" key would be mapped to cancel in this scenario.

RoyHJ: Make sense, if you haven't entered any content yet. We'll get that done next 1-2 releases. Have a great weekend!

Zeb: Keyboard shortcut idea: When in a view that includes sorting/filters it would be great to have a keyboard shortcut to remove all sorting/filters.
Besides that, I believe there should be a keyboard shortcut for everything, it makes working with the system much more efficient.
Zeb
Tal Liberman: Noted! We'll get that added. Add any other ideas you'd like here.

"Quicklist" shortcut key
Simon Quinn
Add a list of tasks by pressing a shortcut key for example L for list of Q for quicklist. You get a box that pops up with a blank list. You can add as many tasks to the list as you want. You can assign a task to a person by typing @me or @john. You can assign a date to the task for example [today] or [tomorrow] or [friday]. You can assign priority for example urgent would be !!! normal urgency would be !! and low urgency would be !
You just press enter to go down to the next line and start typing your next task.
At once done, click save and that's that.

Space, Project, List creation shortcuts
Tyler Yocca
The ability to create a space, project or list with either a keyboard command or button (similiar to "New Task") would really improve productivity.
Right now, it slow and cumbersome to have to click the elipses everytime I want to create one of these items.
This is espicially since the interface in general can be a bit overwhelming at times. It is intuitive but is extension. So, shortcuts to perform quick setup tasks could be great.
Thank you!

One hotkey that I think would be great is:
When you are within a task, hotkey to assign the task to yourself
