backtick support like in markdown / github markdown

We are a coding team using ClickUp. We find the need to add code snippets into task comments. However I am finding that native markdown support is not there in Clickup e.g.
- Code blocks could be encased within triple backticks
- Even if I do use the code block available within Clickup, it is not displaying backticks properly. The text that you type (screenshot 1) is different from what is seen on the comment (screenshot 2).

whoa, code fencing isn't supported?! guess my search continues this is a critical feature for me. I can't imagine I'm going to use a product without it.
