More endpoints for tasks, users, spaces, etc. Addition of Webhooks
It would be amazing if we could create new tasks from templates or just create new tickets and create subtasks.
Hi everybody! I'm loking forward to API 2.0! I would be really garteful if you can add posibility to download the following fields in the new API version:
1. log time
2. Custom fileds
3. The number of read and unread notifications
4. The number of comments added by the user
5. Date of change of task status
6. The number and dates of changes / shifts of dates in the task
7. Person closing the task
8. Activities/updates in the task
We want to measure the effectiveness of work in our company and is necessary for integration in our other tools.
enable Automation Tools Like Zapier and Integromat to Get Access to Custom Fields to be able to create Much Richer integrations with more services and create tasks with much more information easily
@zeb-1 Is there an update on the timing when the API will be delivered and if Custom Fields can be populated or downloaded?
@Adrian Wasiak: +1
@Adrian Wasiak: We've been working on API v2 this month, and it should be shipped next month finally!
@Zeb: Is it possible to download log time in API 2.0?
@Adam Usinski <firstname.lastname@example.org>: Yes it will be as soon as it's released. We're shooting for next month right now, pending the public release of 2.0
@Zeb: awesome, looking forward to v2! Will there be breaking changes compared to v1? I'd like to start building a custom integration right now, but I'm hesitant if there will be a lot of changes in the near future.
Besides that, what about rate limits for different plans?
@Nicolas Katte: We will continue to support the v1 API as well, so even if there are breaking changes (not sure yet), your app will still work indefinitely
@Zeb: awesome :)
Sorry, I don't mean to complain and I know this has been asked by a few others recently, but I'm going to reiterate it. Any timeline on the updated API? We're severely limited using ClickUp while we wait for it. We need to be able to integrate more thoroughly with external tools and custom apps. Without a better API, we're actually losing productivity using ClickUp, as there's a lot of manual data entry and updating going on.
Tool looses a lot of its appeal if I can't do either of two things:
- set custom fields directly via Zapier
- set custom fields via the API (and I'd likely use Zapier and its api component)
So either of these two options may make it worthy past eval for me.
Hi. Do you already know the release date of the api v2 ?? :)
@Marcin Szulc: Would be great to know! Been waiting since November last year!!
@Marcin Szulc: Nobody don't know( Very-very bad support!
Would be great to get this soon Guys! I have been experimenting around with some tools I use that you don't integrate with, but have public API's, and trying to use the likes of tray.io or Workato, but none of this can happen without your Public API. In fact I cannot fully commit to coming aboard on Clickup, as much as I keep trying, without this.
comment from support: ability to add and edit checkbox with API
When using a Zap to create a task, it would be great if we could set the value of a custom field as it is created.
