Duncan Owen While in theory I agree with using the Meet or Teams tight integration since it's already linked to our other systems... I've never seen an actual tight integration work. Every time it's integrated, there's always some confusions switching between one platform and another. I'd much prefer this to be inside ClickUp.

The integration should be that I can integrate ClickUp Meetings™️ with my Google or Microsoft calendar to be able to use it for team or client meetings.

Hi Matthew Burt, why is there a need for the video call to be inside ClickUp? From a usability perspective, it's likely that would interfere with your ability to continue navigating and working in ClickUp.

Ideally when joining a video call from ClickUp chat, it opens in the default browser, or alternately opens in a separate ClickUp window which is a container for the default browser anyways.

Duncan Owen In Teams, it opens in a new window allowing for chat or browsing Teams as necessary. And of course you can still browse the internet. I wasn't suggesting that you aren't allowed to browse ClickUp... just that if it was built in to work with ClickUp that would be ideal. Of course it could pop open a new window for it.

It would be odd to stop using Teams/Slack/Meet for chat, but still have to rely on those services for video comms. I want to divorce them and I sure as heck don't want to be required to use Zoom.

I'd like to handle all communication in ClickUp. The less interactions to break the better. But as stated, it would have to allow public access (for video conferencing clients who live far away or remote work) and integrate with outlook/gmail calendar. Teams and Meet respectively are very easy to set a calendar entry and flip a switch (or have it set to automatically do it) to have a video chat scheduled for that specific meeting.

Of course, it's way easier for ClickUp to just connect to Teams, Meet, Zoom, etc. but that defeats the purpose of having ClickUp be the one stop shop for all business work/communication 🤷‍♂️.

Even better, get a proper ClickUp Calendar that replaces Outlook/Google so I can have all my meetings scheduled and linked up inside ClickUp and video chat synced as well if needed. Right now, calendar stuff is locked to location views, but I need my entire workspace to have a global calendar that is fully functional, and we can all see each other's entries. The Home Agenda Card isn't going to cut it and having multiple calendars across locations is just awful (for a smaller team).

One other separate but similar thing, is integrating with 3rd party virtual business phone companies like OpenPhone, DialPad, etc. A lot of these places are implementing their own SMS/Phone/Video stuff and it's WAY better than the crap Microsoft and Google have for "business phone" stuff. This could also solve a lot of issues in a different way. I don't think either are mutually exclusive though. I'd like to have both 😆

Duncan Owen Or, even better, open in the Desktop app so video calls aren't resource-throttled by your browser, which can get laggy when you have too many tabs or graphic card-intensive things open.
