Hi there. Our team are growing increasing frustrated with the speed of loading tasks, the refreshing of lists etc. Please advise if there is a current outage/issue or if there is a strategy to improve local caching.
Speed increase for a couple of hours using the bypass
and then back to very very slow.
@Ben Prewett: What views were you using the most? (ex: Task View, List View, Board View, Box View)
@Zach Blodgett: I was heavy on the gantt charts and calendar views during those 2 hours. Not long after I wrote the message you have replied to, I switch to the desktop app and it was ok speed again. Not fast, but usable.
@Zach Blodgett browser is still unusable and app is still ok now. I haven't rebooted the machine or restarted the browser. Will do so a bit later and let you know if there's any difference.
We just released some new optimizations and we are pretty confident that this new version will solve some speed issues.
Would you kindly click on this link again: https://app.clickup.com/?ngsw-bypass=1 and let us know how it feels for you? We can't wait to get you back up and running at fast speeds 🏎
Thank you again!
@Zach Blodgett: Is there a release today?
@Zach Blodgett: I noticed that there was a speed increase on Saturday or Sunday, and today the tool seems significantly faster. I'll let you know if I run into further latency issues. Thanks for taking a look.
@Zach Blodgett: It feels really great, It is evident the speed increase.
@Zach Blodgett: The bypass helps, as did clearing cache and switiching browsers. However, after some usage, it slows down again.
@Jakob Schmitt: We've added the ability, over the past weekend, to turn off Sync Data for Offline Mode. This option can be found in your settings (see image):
Please let us know if you experience improvements when this option is turned off 🙏
@Zach Blodgett: Thank you so much! What about "we've got just one more sprint left for the last remaining major features (releasing June 22nd)" what you said - rescheduled for this/next weekend? Thanks for the answer!
@Zach Blodgett: thanks for this, but I don't have this option. Neither in edge nor in the Clickup app for Windows. What am I missing?
@Zach Blodgett: seems you have a different screen, menu setup as below is what i see - and i've refreshed the screen. System running fine with me, just wanted to see where that menu option was.
@Reg: @Jakob Schmitt Oh no! I spoke too soon!
There is a release coming out today and the option will be available then. Sorry for the false information 🙇♂️
@Zach Blodgett: :) cheers Zach
@Reg: You should see it now 😉
@Zach Blodgett: Before using this, newly created tasks in webapp were invisible for a few minutes. Now it's good.
I started using Microsoft Edge and now it's much faster.
@Mubdu Alali: same here. but after some hours of usage, it slows down significantly in MS Edge for me again. Are you experiencing the same?
@Jakob Schmitt: I didn't experience that. Have you tried the ClickUp desktop version ? I think it should be faster.
@Mubdu Alali: I tried, it didn't change anything. At least on Windows, it didn't. Also, I don't see how it should be faster, as it is basically an additional Chrome or MS Edge Process running. Same thing as the browser i guess...
@Jakob Schmitt: Yes!! i dropped edge - moved to Vivaldi and works fast now, supports chrome extensions (I didnt really appreciate this browser until i read the features and the developers seem solid)
@Jakob Schmitt: The desktop version is faster than the web version, I don't know why, but it takes less of the the laptop's ram.
Try it and see,
@Mubdu Alali: thanks, trying now
@Reg: thanks, will try
We have this same problem.
@Ken Yeung: It had slowed in edge to a point it became unusable. Have you tried another browser eg. Vivaldi works perfect on speed after setup? It supports chorome extensions etc.
We definitely understand these speed issues are not acceptable in any way. I can assure you that it should be a night and day difference next week.
Admittedly, we've got just one more sprint left for the last remaining major features (releasing June 22nd).
After this, our CEO has already decided that the entire team will focus only on speed, optimization, and mobile - indefinitely. Our promise to you is to make all 3 of these areas best in class!
Thanks so much for hanging in there, we're really close on making a breakthrough optimization here that will solve these performance issues and make the platform incredibly fast ⚡️
@Zach Blodgett: Good to hear!
@Zach Blodgett: Excellent :-) Make it fast, make it bold, make it a winner 💪
@Zach Blodgett: wow. highly appreciated!
The web app is painfully slow to use, and I am having to wait seconds to minutes to scroll through task lists, complete searches. or switch views. I want to love ClickUp, but the delays when trying to work are almost unbearable. This happens a few minutes after using the "bypass" link posted below.
I'm sorry you're running into this problem! Our developers made some recent changes that we believe will help with this.
Could you please use this link https://app.clickup.com/?ngsw-bypass=1 to bypass your local cache and ensure you're using our latest updates? Let us know if you're still experiencing any problems afterward!
