Hey, everyone!
We've identified two causes for the inability to export docs.
- Doc Export | Unable to export Docs when deleted unfurl is present
Bug ID: CLK-63509
- Doc Export | Export to Markdown fails if there is a checklist in the page
Bug ID: CLK-30070
In these cases, if you remove the root cause (Checklist or non-existent unfurl) the content will export as expected!

Hi,
This was working for a while, but is again not working. Unable to export to PDF (endless spinning of the wating indicator), which is necessary for internal documentation at client's request. The workaround mentionend by Alex Duffy on March 21, 2022 (public doc in another not logged in browser and download export from there) is also not working for me. Can you please look at this and give feedback as to when this is expected to be stable. Bugs like these currently keep us from expanding ClickUp to more users, as it's just not reliable enough.

Hi, also noting that when exporting docs (print or export to PDF) that the format is not printed. Not even close. So reporting any doc i currently useless. Anything planned or do we have any fixes?

This is happening for me right now, no export, just spining and spining, when will this be fixed as it's an important feature for me.

Our team has identified a bug that is currently blocking Docs from being exported. Our team is all hands on deck and will have this resolved shortly!

Michael: I found a work around, create a public link to the document and access it from another browser which is not signed in and you can export both pdf and html !! That may help you folk figure out what this is about. Thanks for your reply.

Hi,
The Export button is again just spinning and spinning.
I've had a meeting with an external client and would like to immediately send them the meeting notes via PDF. I've now had to export the notes manually (copy-paste) and reformat them again in another program, which is not the time saving I am looking for in ClickUp.

My team takes meeting minutes in ClickUp, which is super helpful. We generate tasks right from the notes and refer to them often. However, I have no way to backup these notes because I can't get export of docs to function unless I go one page at a time and clean up any potentially troublesome formatting. When we have hundreds of meeting notes, this is not feasible. I'd really like to export to Markdown. Thank you for continuing to work on this.

I just found the reason I could not export a page. There was a ClickUp link on the page that either no longer existed or I did not have access to anymore. I removed the link and the page now exports. Below is a screenshot of what the link looked like. Hopefully this helps someone.

Can I automate the export/backup of all my docs to GDrive or Github? Perhaps using the API? ... because this data is so important and I am finding Clickup great in flexibility but troublesome in stability (i.e. bugs), I'd like to just automate a regular backup schedule for all my docs without needing to manually click export. Exporting to Github would give an additional layer of tracking changes as well.

Argh not working. Clicking "export" just spins and spins. I've tried both in the web app and the desktop app. My doc has nothing complicated at all, and no slashes or symbols in the title.

I eventually got a pdf file, 3 hours later. It's a file that pandoc would typeset from markdown in less than a second...
