Email capture

The email capture on the previous chrome extension allowed you to attach it to a task. Brian seems to immediately attempt to create a new task when I click the "add to clickup" button on my gmail.

I literally chose ClickUp (previously used Teamwork) for our team because the task owner could attach email conversations to a task, so that as the task progresses we can easily get back to that email convo using the Open in Gmail button that is now missing. I installed the Brian AI Anywhere extension and it is useless for attaching an email to an existing task. Even long-ago attached emails are just "artifacts" now with no way to jump over to the Gmail thread. This is a HUGE productivity hit. The integrated email features do not work for us since (1) ClickUp does not use OAuth2 so we cannot send mail using the aliases all our external contacts would recognize, and (2) there are just a gazillion email conversations that have nothing to do with ClickUp tasks, and (3) we have no interest in shared Inboxes.
I think I might look at Teamwork or other platforms again, since we are now 8 months past the OPs report here and it looks like ClickUp is just trying to revamp their AI extension rather than fixing the old extension??

Browser extension: Email capture missing options

It would save me a lot of time to be able to assign a task a status and to enter custom fields.
Even helpful to have an option to create and then open the task in a browser window.

Improved Email integration with Chrome extension

Screenshots are nice for some things -- but email is mostly text. I want to be able to either capture an entire email or a pre-selected portion of it to be able to create a task. Currently, it will only screenshot what I can see (which often misses parts of the email and includes unnecessary pieces of the email). The screenshot nature also ruins searching in ClickUp later....
You are going to need to change how you have users click the logo since it is at the top of the email in gmail -- I should be able to do this from my extensions button directly so I can be not at the top of the email

Add tasks to My Personal List from extension

Please add the ability to select my Personal List as a destination when creating tasks from the "ClickUp: tasks, screenshots, email" extension. Currently, only Spaces, Folders, and Lists are available, but not the Personal List. This would make it much easier to quickly add private tasks from the extension

Let me customize my space. I don't need a side bar, locked, and empty taking good space I could use to actually visualize what is important o me. App is getting annoying to use !

Working on it right now!

The whole point of this extension is giving you an AI-sidebar to access your workspace. But that said, we are also working on another UI that you will be able to use without activating the sidebar thus saving screen space!
Natalie Williams
Alex Lashkov this! If I'm activating the extension to quickly bookmark something, I don't need to access my workspace. I'd prefer just an "overlay" style like the old extension.

Alternate default action
Simon Griffith
The current state is that when you click "Add to ClickUp" from Gmail, AI begins with an auto-prompt "Create a task from email ...".
Desired state: Clicking "Add to ClickUp" in Gmail starts a conversation but allows for alternate prompts right off the bat, specifically
"Add to existing task"
. Old chrome extension allowed for adding to existing task or creating new task.
