Give these agents a voice! Let us talk with them!
Heck, let us have SynchUps with them.
And if you do... (let's be honest and call it WHEN you do...)
Please lead the industry in their response time, their ability to be interrupted, and make them answer like a real person would. Not leading by restating everything, or by placating to the ego of the person submitting the query and telling them what a great idea that is before answering. Make them answer like the TOP assistants to the busiest and most successful people on the planet ACTUALLY interact. Succinctly and most certainly wihtout commentary.
Do that, and you will have done what all those creating voice a.i. have repeatedly and exhaustingly failed to do. Which, given the early stages of this tech we are in, is forgiveable, but it is growing excedingly close to no longer being tolerated. (Sort of like hearing Like comment subscribe on a Youtube video...YouTube is 20 years old now, this isn't week one we get it. And A.I. assistants have been around long enough now that hearing these phoney canned responses is NEARLY as tiring as hearing "Like, comment, subscribe...")
Thank you for coming to this TedX. ;p
