Let Super Agents edit Custom Relationship Fields
building now

I currently use complex automations to create tasks in the relevant list in my Communications folder when triggered by a field in my Project Briefs list, then set the triggering task as the value for the new task's "Project Brief" custom relationship field. I was attempting to switch to Super Agents to improve for this process, but I ran into a hitch when the super agents weren't able to set custom relationship values.

Enable Super Agent to update Relationship custom fields (link tasks via relationship field)
Nicky Salido
Please update Super Agent actions/permissions to allow the agent to set and update Relationship custom fields on tasks. This would let the Super Agent automatically connect/link tasks using an existing Relationship custom field as part of its workflow.
Problem / Current Limitation
Right now, the Super Agent can create/update tasks and fields, but it cannot reliably write to Relationship custom fields (task-to-task linking via Relationship fields). This blocks automations where the agent needs to connect a newly created task to an existing task using a Relationship field.
Why this matters:
We use Super Agent for ticket/client enrichment and workflow routing. A key step is to create a new task (or find an existing one) and then link it to a parent/customer/project task via a Relationship custom field. With this, we'll have:
- automated traceability between related work items
- clean reporting (relationship-based views, rollups, dashboards)
- reduced manual work (team has to link tasks manually)
Use case example:
- Super Agent creates a “Client Ticket” task from an intake/source.
- Super Agent finds the matching “Client” task.
- Super Agent should set the Relationship field “Client” on the Ticket to link the two tasks.
- Downstream reporting/automation relies on that relationship link.
Expected Behavior:
- Super Agent can set, change, and clear a Relationship custom field on a task.
- It can link to one or multiple tasks depending on the Relationship field configuration.
- It should work the same way as if a human user edited the Relationship field in the task UI.
Acceptance Criteria:
- Agent can add a linked task to a Relationship field (single + multi relationship fields).
- Agent can remove an existing linked task from the Relationship field.
- Works for tasks and subtasks (as supported by Relationship fields).
- If the agent lacks permission, it returns a clear permission error (instead of silently failing).
We specifically need this so the Super Agent can connect tasks using a Relationship custom field as part of automated enrichment and routing.

Hey, everyone!
We've got List-to-List & any-to-any support working internally and are validating before releasing to Production.
Will provide an update once this functionality is released!

Agreed. Agents should be able to view/edit custom relationships as well as other custom fields.
Here is my example: i have a "Customer" custom relationship field in my project task. When a new project is created, I want an agent to identify the customer from a separate customer space, and create a relationship between the project and the customer if it can find a match. I've set up the agent, but it is blind to custom relationship fields, and so it fails.
