Option to turn off group by List when grouping by Status for a dashboard task view

First image shows 'group by' options for regular task views. There's an option for turning off grouping by list when there are multiple lists in the view. The second image shows the options for a dashboard task view. there is no similar option. I'd like this option on the dashboard as well.

I'm voting for this so hard. I'm creating a management dashboard that provides an overview of ALL lists - I'm trying to capture any overdue work across all clients/projects. When I try to group by status, it reorders everything to group by list and then status within the list. I just want status since it's across 200+ lists. Apparently this isn't possible, but it feels SO NECESSARY for providing an overview across multiple projects and spaces.
