> Proposed feature Add a “Group by keywords” option for multi-selected Sticky Notes. > How it should work I select multiple Sticky Notes. ClickUp offers an action: Group by keywords. ClickUp analyses the text and clusters notes that share common keywords/phrases. ClickUp returns the results as groups/clusters, each with a suggested group name (based on the dominant keyword/theme). I can optionally rename groups and move notes between groups before confirming. > Expected outcome Selected Sticky Notes are automatically organised into keyword-based groups, with sensible suggested group names to speed up sorting and synthesis. Note: this feature is offered by Miro and Figjam and is incredibly useful in brainstorms and workshops, including retrospective and ideations.

Include an option to make Personal Lists shareable with the entire team. I think this used to be an option before 4.0 was rolled out (I found older videos that displayed a SHARE button on the Personal Priorities card).

Summary: > Admins need the power to define and enforce Inbox notification settings for all users within a Workspace. Key Requirements: Default Settings: Define what the Inbox looks like for every new hire automatically. Required Alerts: "Lock" certain notifications (like @mentions or assigned tasks) so users cannot disable them in their personal settings. Admin Visibility: See at a glance which users have modified their notifications away from the company standard. Current Pain Point: > We have to hope our users follow our written SOPs. This creates "hidden" communication gaps that are hard to troubleshoot.

In structured project environments (consulting, ERP implementations, multi-level WBS projects), task hierarchy serves different governance functions: • Parent Tasks = Phases or structured work packages • Parent-level roles = Accountable (oversight & quality responsibility) • Tasks & Subtasks = Responsible (execution & delivery) This separation is intentional and fundamental to structured project governance. Current Limitations 1️⃣ Assignee Filter Behavior (List View) When Subtasks are displayed as Expanded (not Separate): • Assignee filters only recognize Parent-level assignments • If Parent Tasks are intentionally left unassigned, the filter suggests no users • Subtask-level assignees are not considered As a result: • Execution-level work cannot be filtered properly • Users cannot isolate who is actually performing work • Governance logic (Accountable vs Responsible) becomes constrained by view limitations The only workarounds are: • Switching Subtasks to “Separate” (which reduces hierarchical readability), or • Assigning Parent Tasks purely to enable filtering (which distorts governance structure) Both options compromise structured project models. 2️⃣ Planner View – Lack of Filtering Controls Planner View currently does not offer filtering capabilities comparable to List View. This creates additional operational limitations: • It is not possible to filter by Assignee • It is not possible to isolate execution-level items (Tasks & Subtasks only) • Parent Tasks, Tasks, and Subtasks are mixed together in “Assigned to Me” • Workload visualization becomes unclear In practice, this limits the ability to manage daily execution effectively within the Planner view. Suggested Improvements To better support hierarchical and enterprise project structures: 1. Enhance Assignee Filters in List View • Allow filters to recognize Subtask-level assignments even when Subtasks are shown as Expanded • Provide an optional toggle such as: • “Include Subtask Assignees” • “Apply filters across hierarchy” • or “Filter by execution-level assignments” 2. Introduce Filtering Controls in Planner View • Add filter options (e.g., by Assignee, Task Type, Parent vs Subtask) • Allow users to isolate execution-level work • Enable clearer workload governance without modifying assignment structure Who Benefits This improvement would benefit: • Consulting teams • ERP / software implementation teams • PMOs • Organizations using WBS-based structures • Teams separating Accountable vs Responsible roles • Any complex hierarchical project environment Business Impact Enabling these capabilities would: • Improve operational clarity • Strengthen workload governance • Reduce structural workarounds • Preserve hierarchical integrity • Increase ClickUp’s alignment with enterprise-level project management practices This is not a configuration issue, but a structural enhancement opportunity for hierarchical project governance.

The ability to create a placeholder user to which you can assign a task. Original post by Stephanie Kohut: I'd like a better view of the unassigned tasks. It would be great to be able to assign a job role (i.e. art director, copy writer, etc.) to a task knowing that's the role that needs to fulfill that task but then be able to sort based on those roles that haven't been assigned to an actual user. Task A needs an Art Director for 4 hours Task B needs a Copy Writer for 8 hours I have the following resources: Bob (Art Director) Suzy (Art Director) Jon (Copywriter) Mary (Copywriter) I can look at Jon/Mary's capacity and then what work needs to be done by a copywriter and assign them.

Currently, our team sends several standardized messages in Chat channels daily (e.g., Daily Standups, Weekly Handover reports, or specific Check-in checklists). Manually typing these out or copying/pasting them from an external Doc is a significant friction point and leads to inconsistent formatting. I would like a native way to create and save Message Templates specifically for the Chat view. Key Functionality: Template Library: A place to store "Canned Responses" or snippets. Quick Access: Use a slash command (e.g., /snippet or /msg) or a "Template" icon in the chat bar to insert the text instantly. Dynamic Variables: Ideally, allow simple variables like @Today or @Me to populate automatically. Formatting Support: Ensure the template preserves Markdown (bolding, lists, and dividers). Why this matters: This would bring Chat on par with Task descriptions and Docs, allowing teams to maintain a "Single Source of Truth" for communication styles without leaving the conversation.

Hi, We would love to be able to manage our Microsoft outlook bookable rooms, in clickup through forms or calendar view. We are managing people's times through clickup (different film shoots), but cant manage the (studio) spaces in one place.

I noticed that when entering code into code blocks, it appears to have a serif font now. It looks ridiculous. Please stop. Change it back to Sans Serif right now !!!! Serif fonts are fine for publishing novels, but totally inappropriate for code snippets. What on earth were you guys thinking ??

Every time I launch ClickUp 4.0 (with 4.0 already enabled) OR switch workspaces. I see an animation play introducing 4.0 and AI agents. Every...Single...Time. Please have a way to disable this animation.

Sometimes it would be nice to clearly reference a particular checklist item in comments on tasks.
