Inbox 3.0 (Notifications v3)
in progress
Ivo Reis
1) Grouping similar notifications together and clearing all with one click
2) Dynamic notifications: if you've seen activity (for example new comments in a task view) then we'll remove those notification items automatically
3) Notifications marked as "read" so you can easily see from all views if you have unread activity
4) Snooze notifications and set do not disturb times
5) Easily see which tasks have new activity in all views, so you don't have to go to notifications to know when there's new activity
6) Make Notification Preferences easier: allow users to save settings across teams and allow admins to set preferences for their users.

Hey, folks! We're so excited that Inbox is rolling out as part of ClickUp 3.0 and will continue to roll out to more of you if you don't have access already!
What we do need help with is building one of our next big features for Inbox:
Snoozing!
Please help us out by answering a quick 2-min survey here: https://click-up.typeform.com/to/BulW1qQW
Thanks!
Nicolas
Inbox 3.0 is great. Would be wonderfull if we could filtrer message by author.
My use case is that I want to be able te treat all action for a customer so I can work project by project.
Right now I can only see notifications assign to me or mentioning me.
If I could filter author = Ivo Reis I would be able to see what Ivo needs and which statuts he changed.
Thanks a lot for your work.

Of highest priority, more than due dates, we need to be able to -
- see breadcrumbs at the Inbox level (not just inbox-task pop up level)
- filter the inbox notifications by space.

Aside from not having the locations for the tasks in the Inbox, I would say another key thing is more "Actions"...I have a long list of notifications to go through, but if I don't have the ability to act on it (mark it complete, put in a comment, delete task, assign/re-assign, etc) I have to click on the notification, click on the task, make a change, then come back to notifications.
Picture an email inbox. You have a list of emails, which is your "notification" of that message. From there you can reply, delete, pin, schedule, etc..but that Action allows the email to get out of your view entirely, not just the notification. If you clear it in ClickUp, the task still lives somewhere to be done, so the user hasn't finished or added anything to that work item, they've just cleared away the message telling them they have work to do.
"Actions" are key to making the "inbox" useful for productivity, and not just visibility.

The lack of Task Locations makes absolutely no sense to me in the new Inbox. How are we supposed to know which List these tasks are associated without clicking into it? It made the inbox go from annoying (2.0) to useless (3.0)

Without the location of the task visible it's a pain to work through the notifications. We have many lists with same task names. Without knowing where the tasks belong to it's hard to work through the notifications. Please show Folder + List it belongs to.

Simon Mayerhofer: Echoing this - please include task locations. We also have tons of template tasks with the same names, and it's very confusing.

Brendan W As part of the new notifications inbox, will you be providing the option to sort from oldest to newest (rather than the current default inverse)? This would be extraordinarily helpful in my workflow.
Use case: Currently, I scroll to the bottom of notifications & start reviewing there. I click on the oldest notification to review, take action, & clear it. We move on to the next oldest notification (moving "up" the list as it is currently ordered). Now let's say there's 1 notification I want to leave in the list for attention later in the day. I use the arrows in the upper left corner to simply move to the next oldest notification, leaving the one uncleared. But now, every time I clear a notification, I return to the one I want to leave as uncleared -- the next one "down" the list (where the system currently wants me to go) instead of the next one "up" the list (which is where I want to go & need to do an extra click on the arrows to get me there). Does this make sense? This would all be solved if I could simply reverse the order of the notifications list, with oldest at the top & newest at the bottom. Possible?

Still waiting for the ability to reply to emails from the inbox as the email address and subject is not populated whe you click "reply" so you have to go into the task view to do it. I reported the bug ages ago and still no fix. Please, you should fix the bugs before workng on new (snoozing) features!
I actually reported this exact bug for 2.0, it was eventually fixed, but then 3.0 rolled out and obviously the bug fix hadn't been applied to 3.0. There really is no excuse, it surely shouldn't take months to apply a fix you've already made?

Feature I like in 2.0 - I can see that the task is overdue on the notification panel and it marks with red color. I think it's important news about task and it's better to see immmidiatly without opening details

At the INBOX (3.0) level, I should be able to reply with a Thumbs Up and Change the Status and/or due date right from that page and not have to click into the task. See the video.
Also... seeing the location as everyone is mentioning is critical.

Can we add to the list something like breadcrumbs for the notification.
Right now I have to click on the task to see from which List is it from...
I'd like to be able to see from which list the notification is from...
