More Keyboard Shortcuts
Andrew Ousley
It'd be good to have more robust keyboard shortcuts, so it's easier to navigate and get around in the main windows, as well as within tasks and subtasks. For instance:
- Going straight to comments section from within a task/subtask
- Going back to main task when in a subtask
- Tabbing through sections of a task
- Quick complete task
- Move to next status, previous status in a task
These are just a few, to make it less trackpad/mouse-heavy!

I fill in a lot of custom fields that include text, numbers, dropdown menus, multiple options etc. and all of this can only be done via mouse clicks apparently. It would be great to be able at least jump from adjacent custom fields with the TAB key to save some time.

, it has hundreds of upvotes, and the state of keyboard shortcuts within ClickUp is what it is right now.H

Agreed 100%. I just started using ClickUp and after reading the hotkeys help document that starts out by saying "Use shortcuts and Command Center to do just about anything without lifting a finger!" I am shocked at how little you can do via the keyboard. I was an Asana user at my last job and that's a good model for what you should be able to do from the keyboard, if ClickUp devs need examples. I'm trying to stick with ClickUp for now but if the keyboard shortcuts don't improve I might end up having to switch to something else.

It feels absurd to not be able to use keyboard shortcuts to easily add dates and assignees to tasks. What am I missing here?!

For me "Quick complete task" would be ridiculously helpful. I'm almost at the point of writing something to try and do it myself

More keyboard shortcuts is essential. A productivity tool should give you everything you need to be as productive as possible.
Multiple clicks for really simple actions isn't good enough

is there any keyboard shortcut to merge table cells?

On calendar views + home calendar card, it would be incredible for me to have a duplicate shorcut by Alt + dragging task => to duplicate it at the desired place.
This kind of shortcut is a standard in a lot of apps.
Actually in home calendar card you need to do 6 actions to duplicate in the desired place. With the short cut you need 2 actions.

I would like to have dedicated keyboard shortcuts to switch between task layouts. Sidebar & full screen layout are my two main layouts for Task View 3.0. I find myself switching between them ~10x a day.
I prefer to have keys that are in close proximity of each other for toggling. Open to suggestions.
